Why Kandy Tours
Kandy is compact, but its famous destinations are in the valleys and on the mountains around it. The meeting point and travel time matter.
The Temple of the Tooth and Kandy Lake are central; Peradeniya, Hanthana and the Knuckles need transport and very different amounts of time.
Sigiriya and Dambulla are full road days, not Kandy sights. Kandy has a lake, but no sea beach or harbour; the coast is several hours away.
Rain and low cloud can hide the views and make paths slippery. Keep plans flexible and check current train services before relying on the railway.

Kandy is Sri Lanka’s last royal capital and is best known for the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Kandy Lake and the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya. Bookable products are mainly tuk-tuk city tours, temple visits, cooking classes and day trips.
No. Kandy is inland in the Central Province. Kandy Lake is an urban lake, not a beach, and there is no seaport. Reaching either coast takes several hours by road.
No. Both are separate destinations north of Kandy. Tours sell them as long road day trips; check whether entrance tickets and the return to Kandy are included.
Hanthana is close to the city, while the Knuckles range lies farther northeast and normally requires road transport. A short viewpoint stop and a full guided Knuckles trek are not comparable activities.
Yes. Tours run toward Gampola, Ramboda and Nuwara Eliya, often combining a factory, waterfalls or Ambuluwawa. Nuwara Eliya is not in Kandy, so allow for mountain-road travel.
Usually not. Visitors commonly use tuk-tuks, trains, tours or a car with driver. The homepage rental-car box is therefore disabled, though road transfers remain bookable.
